Thursday, October 30 — Workshop: Build Your Own AI: Open Source Models on Your Own Machine

Kick off the four days of open source with a hands-on workshop led by Josef Podaný, co-founder and CTO of Nomodo.ai. Discover how to run your own AI model locally — no cloud, no paywall, and complete control over your data.
You’ll learn how open source large language models can empower anyone to experiment, create, and innovate. Whether you want to build your own AI assistant, analyze text, or simply understand how AI works, this workshop will get you started.

Friday, October 31 — Central European Open Source Policy Forum 2025

Organized by Otevřená města (Open Cities), this international conference will bring together policymakers, companies, developers, and community representatives from across Central Europe. The goal: to explore how open source strengthens digital sovereignty, innovation, and collaboration in our region.

Their participation will bring valuable insights into how open infrastructure, research computing, and data management intersect with open source policy and practice across Europe.
Weekend, November 1–2 — OpenAlt 2025 Community Conference
Round off the week with OpenAlt 2025, the long-running community conference celebrating free and open technologies. Expect two days packed with talks, discussions, and networking — all in the friendly, collaborative spirit of open source.
