AI Factories are created in Europe. Czechia is a part of them

AI Factories in Europe support the broader deployment of AI tools in society and industry. These include the LUMI AI Factory, which builds on the successful LUMI consortium. Until recently, this operated Europe's most powerful supercomputer, including the Czech Republic, through the National Supercomputing Centre IT4Innovations. IT4Innovations participates in all activities of the LUMI AI Factory.

Foldify and GDI: Student Projects Transformed into Real Services with Impact on Research Infrastructure

Romana Ďuráčiová, a student at FIT BUT, received two prestigious awards for the development and presentation of the Foldify graphical interface at the Excel@FIT 2025 student conference. Kristián Kováč presented there the Genomic Data Infrastructure (GDI) project, focused on the secure processing and analysis of sensitive genomic data in an international collaboration environment. Both projects are being developed at the CERIT-SC Center under the leadership of Lukáš Hejtmánek.
